Suco De Caju – A Brazilian Cooler

A cooler native of Brazil. Suco De Caju…sounds fancy??? It’s none other than our Cashew Apple Juice or Mundhiri Pazha Juice. Happened to cross cashew farms on my way back to Chennai and got these fruits which are available this season. Botanically it is not the true fruit but just the stalk of the fruit (which is actually the Cashew Nut). This is the swollen, juicy stalk (Peduncle) of the Cashew Fruit. This juice is served along with breakfast in Brazil Restaurants.

Have the childhood memories of relishing this with chilli and salt, had few fruits as such and a few made into this excellent juice with basil seeds. It is loaded health benefits.
– An excellent fat burner
– Contains 5 times more vitamin c when compared to oranges
Here is the simple recipe for this healthy and refreshing cooler. (Originally posted during 2016, May in my KitchenDB FB page and few food forums as a part of my Summer Cooler Series)
