Coconut Almond Chutney

Hello friends 🙂 It is tough to manage these quarantine days but it does make us to be more creative and make the best us e of available resources. Here is a chutney recipe with a small twist. I love Curd Chillies (MorMilagai) which mom used to make every year during this season. Yesterday when I fried few for lunch, I had some fried chillies left over. I used them and made Coconut Almond Chutney today instead regular green chillies and it is a hit again at home.

Round Chillies from our place Thanjavur is the the best variety for making curd chillies, we call it Kappi Milagai (very small ones are much preferred as they taste best without much spiciness). Happen to capture a picture of the Chilli Variety during my recent visit to Thanjavur.

If you do not have curd chillies, try to replace it with green chillies. Add salt just enough as the curd chillies will have salt in it. Also the curd chillies need to be fried and used.

Do try this recipe and post your feedback 🙂 Stay Safe, Eat Healthy and Stay Healthy 🙂
